Informational blogs of insights and experiences to help improve yourself and your community
A friend of mine saw the name of this website and told me that the name was too dark for my purpose. My purpose is to share with you my experiences in
various subjects such as education and career advancement and also share information that I wish I knew about when I was a little younger. So yes, the
name is a bit dark for its purpose. Yet, La Rosa Negra or the Black Rose is how I have always described myself. I have always been a bit of an outcast, never
really fitting in with a specific group. Throughout my school years I always stayed in to study instead of being out and having fun with my friends. Fortunately, the friends that have stuck with me throughout my life have been the best of friends I could ever have. So similar to the black rose I have a
mysterious side, since I keep to myself, but I also have an inner beauty which my close friends have taken the time to see.
I was once told that a Hispanic woman with an MBA who aspires for more is rare, almost non-existent. Of course, the black rose is not real or not existent by nature. Yet there are variations such as the Bacarra Rose that is such a deep red that it resembles a black. Therefore, similar to the black rose I am a variation. I am a Hispanic woman with an MBA who aspires for more. I may be unique because I have an MBA, but I wish and will accomplish to break that.
The information and my experiences that I have chosen to share with you is divided into two main categories, bold and beautiful. I believe that as Latin woman we can be both bold (educated, athletic, and philanthropic) and beautiful (healthy and fit). We have the tools to balance these elements. We just have to care enough to be involved in all of them.
